Gallipoli Officer Class Guide
Lead Expedition attacks without burning Momentum on empty beaches.
The Officer is Gallipoli’s tempo class. In BlackMill Games’ 25v25 Expedition mode, attackers win by securing Headquarters sector by sector while managing a Momentum pool that drops every time a soldier dies. Officers do not need the highest kill count. They need the cleanest decisions: when to push, when to take a Support Objective, when to hold a ridge, and when to reset after a failed beach landing.
This guide assumes you already know the basic loop from Getting Started and the Momentum rules in Expedition Mode. If you are still comparing the full roster, start with the Classes Overview and the Classes Hub.
What Officers actually do
Think of the Officer as a squad director with a rifle. Your jobs, in priority order:
- Keep the squad pointed at the correct objective for the current sector.
- Stabilize spawn and rally pressure so Stretcher Bearers and Ammo Bearers can work.
- Call when firepower classes should commit — especially HMG nests and Bomber breaches.
- Survive long enough to make the next call. A dead Officer is a silent squad.
Gallipoli’s one-shot-one-kill feel means Officers who stand in the open to “lead from the front” often delete their own Momentum. Lead from cover that still sees the Headquarters fight.
Expedition timing for Officers
Attackers start with a Momentum budget. Every death spends it. Headquarters must be captured and then secured so defenders cannot take it back. Support Objectives are optional for advancing, but they restore Momentum, create forward spawns, and bring mortar or field-gun support into the Headquarters fight.
Officer decision tree:
- Momentum healthy, Headquarters contested — commit the squad; ask Bombers and LMGs to clear the hardpoint.
- Momentum low, Headquarters stalled — redirect a fireteam to the Support Objective instead of feeding the same trench.
- Headquarters secured — immediately re-orient to the next sector; do not farm leftover fights.
- Defenders collapsing your Support Objective — decide whether to retake it or finish Headquarters before the spawn advantage disappears.
Full mechanical detail lives on Expedition Mode. Your class page exists to translate those rules into leadership habits.
Map notes for Officers
Anzac
Beach approaches punish hesitation and punish blind charges equally. Officers should stage behind the first usable cover line, wait for HMG suppression to land, then move Stretcher Bearers onto the sand only when a corridor exists. Snipers on the ridges will delete Officers who silhouette against the water — use the Maps Overview for landing geometry before launch day practice.
Cape Helles
Fortified approaches and ship-to-shore pressure create choke points. Officers should treat Bombers as the breach tool and Ammo Bearers as the reload economy. Do not stack the entire squad on one ladder or doorway; split a diversion team so HMG and Sniper lanes stay honest.
Kut
Urban sectors reward short orders. Call room clears, alley crosses, and rooftop denial in plain language. LMGs and Bombers carry more of the kill work here; Officers win by preventing the squad from splitting into three disconnected street fights.
Synergies with sibling classes
- Stretcher Bearer — tell them which fallen players matter for the next push. Priority targets are usually other Officers, HMGs, and Bombers mid-breach. See Stretcher Bearer.
- Firepower Roles — HMGs need a lane assignment; Snipers need a watch list; LMGs need a move-with-me cue; Bombers need a breach countdown. Coordinate through Firepower Roles.
- Ammo Bearer — park them near the gun that is actually shaping the sector, not the quietest rifleman.
When you are unsure which class fits your personality, the Class Picker routes leadership-minded players straight to Officer. For projected strength before launch, read the labeled projection on the Class Tier List — it is a series-veteran forecast, not an official ranking.
Kit and loadout habits
Expect two Officer kits that lean command utility versus a more aggressive rifle posture. Until final patch notes land, prioritize:
- Clear irons or optics you can snap without tunnel vision
- Utility that helps the squad reset after suppression
- Mobility that lets you rotate between Headquarters and Support Objective without sprinting through kill zones
Concrete weapon shortlists belong on Best Loadouts and the Weapon Tier List. Tune readability with the Settings Optimizer so callouts and audio cues cut through artillery noise.
Communication script that works in pubs
You do not need a full tactical lexicon. Use short, repeatable lines:
- “HQ left building — Bombers on me.”
- “Momentum low — Support Objective now.”
- “Hold ridge — HMG set before we cross.”
- “Secure complete — next sector, reset ammo.”
If nobody answers, lead with movement and pings. Silent leadership still beats typing essays while the Momentum bar melts.
Common Officer mistakes
- Chasing sniper duels — your life is worth more as a tempo piece.
- Ignoring Support Objectives forever — some sectors cannot be brute-forced on empty Momentum.
- Stacking the whole squad on one doorway — Cape Helles and Kut punish this instantly.
- Forgetting sustain classes — without Stretcher and Ammo Bearers, every Officer plan is a one-wave fantasy.
- Over-trusting pre-launch tiers — use Class Tier List as a conversation starter, then adapt after August 20, 2026.
Practice routine
- Play two matches focusing only on objective calls, not K/D.
- Spend one match forcing Support Objective recoveries when Momentum dips.
- Review map approaches on the Maps Overview.
- Compare your habits against Classes Overview so you know which firepower partners you under-use.
Officers win Gallipoli by spending lives on purpose. Lead the spend, protect the secure, and the rest of the roster can do its job.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is Officer good for solo queue?
Yes, if you give short calls and play near the active objective. Officer value drops if you treat the class like a quiet rifleman at the edge of the map.
Should Officers always take the Support Objective first?
No. Take Support Objectives when Momentum is threatened or when you need forward spawn and gun support. If Headquarters is already breaking, finish the secure.
What classes should Officers prioritize for revives?
Coordinate with Stretcher Bearers to revive Officers, HMGs, and Bombers first during an active breach, then stabilize the rest of the squad.
Where can I compare Officer to other classes?
Use Classes Overview for roles, Firepower Roles for gun classes, and the pre-launch Class Tier List for projected matchups.
